Dr. Jens Vorberg
Partner
He studied physics at the University of Konstanz, earning his degree with an experimental project in the field of laser physics in the group led by Prof. Jürgen Mlynek (now at Humboldt University Berlin).
Working under Prof. Helmuth Möhwald, he went on to obtain a doctorate in natural sciences at the University of Potsdam with a thesis on optical investigations of wetting films, prepared at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, Potsdam,
in the working group of Prof. Dr. Stephan Herminghaus (now at the MPI for Dynamics and Self Organization, Göttingen). Outside of the workplace, you might come across Jens Vorberg with his family in one of Cologne’s many parks, in particular on playgrounds or football pitches, or on his racing cycle somewhere in the delightful countryside surrounding Cologne.
Jens training in the protection of industrial property took place in the law office of Dr. Bauer, the Munich Regional Court, the German Patent and Trade Mark Office and the Federal Patent Court in Munich. He then qualified as a German Patent Attorney, followed by the European Qualification Examination and the qualification as a Representative before the European Patent Office.
Jens will advise and represent you in all issues regarding industrial property protection. The technological focal points of his work include communications technology, optical and electronic applications, particularly in the area of nanotechnology, and in the protection of software-implemented inventions.
