Dr. Wiebke Witte studied physics at the Philipps-University in Marburg. The focus of her studies laid in the field of solid state and semiconductor physics. In her diploma thesis she dealt with the investigation of organic semiconductors by transmission electron microscopy.
In 2011, Dr. Wiebke Witte started her PhD at RWTH Aachen University in the field of semiconductor technology. The topic of her PhD was the fabrication, processing and characterization of vertical GaN transistors for high voltage applications.
After completing her doctorate in 2015, she began her training as a patent attorney at the Cologne law firm Freischem & Partner Patentanwälte. Further stations during her training were the District Court of Frankfurt am Main, the German Patent and Trademark Office in Munich and the Federal Patent Court in Munich. Wiebke was admitted to practice as a German patent attorney in October 2020.
In 2019, she obtained admission as a representative before the European Patent Office.
Since September 2020, Wiebke has been working as a patent attorney for Bauer Vorberg Kayser. She advises national and international clients in all fields of intellectual property, both in filing and defending as well as in enforcing intellectual property rights. The focus of her work is on general mechanical engineering, in particular in the fields of automotive engineering, as well as measurement and sensor technology. In addition, Wiebke is active in all matters of trademark and design law.
In her free time, Wiebke can be found playing volleyball either indoors or on a beach-volleyball court. Besides that, she spends her time with her family in the countryside or on one of Cologne’s playgrounds.
